Patterson's 'Wives' looking for film
James Patterson's thriller "Guilty Spouses" is headed for that bigscreen, with Maven Pictures' Celine Rattray and Trudie Straightener and James Patterson Entertainment onboard to create. Leopoldo Gout will produce together with Maven James Patterson and Steve Bowen of James Patterson Entertainment professional produce. "Guilty Spouses," composed by Patterson and David Ellis and hang to become released in March, may be the story of a lady who had everything -- a handsome, effective husband beautiful children and awesome, jet-set buddies. But she steps right into a terrible trap on the girls' weekend in Monte Carlo and awakens sentenced to existence within the treacherous French prison system and starts a mission to create things right again. The prolific Patterson's most widely known for his series focusing on psychiatrist Alex Mix, with "Along Came a Spider," "Hug the Women" and also the approaching "I, Alex Mix" modified into features. He's also the creator of detective series "The Women's Murder Club," that the ABC drama series was modified. Rattray and Straightener stated, "This is an ideal work for Maven once we expand into more commercial territory." Maven's first feature film, "Imogene," starring Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening and Matt Dillon, is presently in publish-production, and Maven is within development with New Regency on "Second Act," with Jennifer Aniston set to create and star, in addition to "Cancer Vixen," with Cate Blanchett starring. Maven's also creating with Nicole Kidman on "A Reasonable Marriage" like a potential starring vehicle for Parker through her Pretty Matches banner with partner Allison Benson (Daily Variety, March. 21).
